Le’Var’s quiet disposition in the classroom changes when a mic is put into his hand. A natural wordsmith, Le’Var commands the respect of his fellows at OSP when he performs his music onstage. He has earned his GED and completed customer service training in communications and effective listening. He is a member of the Lifers’ Unlimited Club, Uhuru Sasa, and the Athletic Club. Music and sports fill his time when he is not working. Le’Var has served fourteen years of a twenty-five-to-life sentence.
